Description: Carter’s Ink had the most different typewriter ribbon tins than any other company and also the most different erasing shields. Their shields which picture a tin and have calendars (1907–1915) are very collectible. I believe only the 1908 & 1912 shields are missing here.
There are 2 shields from Montreal, Canada with 1917 & 1918 calendars. On one side they feature the Carter’s Bon Bon Boys: “Master Car Bon” & “Master Rib bon”. Two other shields are colorful and have the Carter’s Inx oval logo, one of these pictures 14 carbon paper boxes on the reverse! Two Carter’s Midnight shields have stary skies and have slightly different reverse sides. The last red & white shield is the most modern shield of all and advertises Carter’s Nylon Ribbons.
