Description: This embossed sign was made by The Meek Co. of Coshocton, Ohio.  Carter’s Ink had many, many brand names and “Ideal” was one of its earliest and best known. Pictured is the early Ideal wide ribbon tin, these ribbons were used on the early typewriters. The image of the ribbon tin itself is 3 5/8″ x 4 1/8″, larger than an actual Ideal. Ideals date to the 1st decade of 1900.
