Ledger Markers are very collectible and expensive but, there is only one known in the typewriter/ribbon tin field. That is a Caligraph from the American Writing Machine Co. in Hartford, CT which pictures an early 1880’s Caligraph typewriter. Ledger Markers are made of lithographed tin and most are colorful. A majority of them were commissioned by insurance companies to be given out to businesses or individuals to be used as bookmarks in the old time ledgers. Their straight edges could be used as rulers.
